One Small Thing would like to invite you to an event which is being led by Dr Stephanie Covington. Dr Covington will be familiar to a number of you through her work on trauma-informed practice with criminalised women.
The day is designed to introduce the Women’s Community Services to the Becoming Trauma Informed Toolkit which has been specifically written by Stephanie Covington for use in community-based women’s services. The Toolkit is designed to help guide and support your organisation in developing and embedding trauma-informed practice and policies.
Over the day you will learn more about the toolkit and have an opportunity to meet colleagues from other women’s organisations to share knowledge and practice. The day is for CEO’s, managers and organisation trauma-informed champions who are in a position to take the learning forward after the day. The day is being organised by the One Small Thing initiative which is supported by Women’s Breakout and ISIS. One Small Thing was established by Lady Edwina Grosvenor to champion the value of a trauma-informed approach to working with criminalised women. You can find out more about One Small Thing on their website.
