Women Experts by Experience

On 5 February we held a successful event at the Mother’s Union in London – ‘Women Experts by Experience’. This event marked the end of our project of this name. The event included an introduction by Baroness Corston; A summary of each phase of the project and the findings of each; A presentation about the Lay Assessor Course that we ran with Fircroft College and a celebration of the women who completed the course; And an outline of the work that User Voice did for us and the findings of that work. A report from that work has now been published and can be found on this page.

A highlight of the event was the showcasing of the work that six of our member organisations had undertaken with their service users. These included films, digital stories and textile and art work. Photos and feedback showing what these projects achieved will appear on this page shortly.

More information about the project including the presentation shown at the event can be found here.
