Working Chance was selected to give evidence to the Work & Pensions Committee’s ongoing inquiry into support for ex-offenders

Earlier this month, Working Chance was selected to give evidence to the Work & Pensions Committee’s ongoing inquiry into support for ex-offenders, at Portcullis House in Westminster. Working Chance is the UK’s only specialist recruitment consultancy for women with criminal convictions, having placed over 700 women ex-offenders into quality paid work since 2009.

CEO Jocelyn Hillman OBE and Senior Support Officer Lisa Hubbard gave evidence to the committee – which exists to scrutinise the work of the Department for Work & Pensions – alongside Clinks, Unlock and Revolving Doors Agency. “Every woman has a different story,” said Jocelyn Hillman during the session. “It’s important to listen to the whole story. This is what we do, and it’s why we have such a good success rate.”
